Facebook（FB) 及Instagram(IG) 全面死機！根據香港用戶報料，FB及IG同步於2024年3月5日晚上11時30分左右死機，用戶被自行登出兼無法登入。IG則一片空白，無法更新及瀏覽動態。

根據網上監察網站downforeveryoneorjustme系統表示，Meta兩平台於11時15分左右已開始有斷線跡象。據無綫新聞報是因為紅海多條通訊電纜受損，全域環球電訊稱對香港影響有限。

Facebook (FB) and Instagram (IG) are completely down! According to reports from users in Hong Kong, both FB and IG experienced a simultaneous outage at around 11:30 PM on March 5, 2024 HKT. Users were automatically logged out and unable to log in. IG displayed a blank screen and users were unable to update or browse through posts.

According to the online monitoring website "downforeveryoneorjustme," the Meta patforms started showing signs of disconnection around 11:15 PM HK Time. According to TVB News, the outage was caused by multiple damaged communication cables in the Red Sea. Telecommunications  company stated that the impact on Hong Kong was limited.
